What is a Kumon Answer Book?
Search “Kumon answer book” and you’ll find thousands of parents looking for the same thing: a fast way to check their child’s worksheets. The official Kumon answer books — sometimes called answer keys or solution books — are the booklets Kumon instructors use to mark completed work, level by level, from early math right through advanced calculus and critical reading.
Here’s our honest position: we don’t publish Kumon answer books. No scanned answer keys, no worksheet PDFs, no reproduced solution books. Those materials belong to Kumon Institute of Education, and republishing them wouldn’t be fair to the program — or useful to your child. An answer key tells them the answer is 3/4 and stops there. It can’t explain why it’s 3/4, or what to do when the next problem looks slightly different.
That’s why we built this site as the Kumon answer book parents were actually looking for: an independent, parent-first guide to every level. For each of the 21 math levels (6A–X) and 26 reading levels (7A–L), we write original, step-by-step walkthroughs with worked examples — the kind of explanations you’d get from a patient tutor sitting at your kitchen table. You’ll learn what each level teaches, how the skills build on each other, and exactly what to say when your child gets stuck.
Parents tell us this is what they wanted all along when they searched for Kumon worksheet answers: not the answers themselves, but the confidence to help. Browse the parent guides for the most-searched topics — fractions in Level G, equations in Level H, long division in Level D — or jump straight to your child’s level above.

Kumon Reading Levels, Explained
The Kumon reading program runs from 7A to L in five stages — from first words to literary critique. Tap any level for the full walkthrough.
Word Building
Connecting words to pictures, rhyming, letter sounds, and first short stories — where early readers begin.
Sentence Building
Sentence structure, subjects and predicates, context clues, and answering who/what/where questions.
Paragraph Building
Combining sentences, finding main ideas, clauses, cause and effect, and condensing text.
Summarising
One-paragraph summaries, one-sentence summaries, and précis — saying more with less.
Most-searched guides
For the questions that come up at the kitchen table.
How it works
Pick your child’s level
Start with the letter or number on their worksheet. We’ll meet you right there.
Read the parent walkthrough
Understand the idea with clear explanations and original worked examples.
Help them solve it themselves
Ask the right questions. Give them the space to discover their own “aha”.
We teach the thinking. We never just hand kids the answers.
Three habits that beat an answer book
Small changes in how you help — worth more than any answer key.
Ask, don’t tell
Instead of correcting a wrong answer, ask “how did you get that?” Children who explain their thinking spot their own mistakes — and remember the fix far longer than if you’d simply given them the answer.
Praise the process
“You kept trying even when it was tricky” builds more grit than “you’re so smart.” Kumon is a daily-habit program; the children who thrive are the ones who learn that effort is the point.
Read together, daily
Fifteen minutes of shared reading does more for the reading levels than any worksheet check. Let them read aloud, ask what might happen next, and talk about the characters like old friends.
Good questions.
Honest answers.
A little clarity about who we are, what we do, and how we can help.
